Re-Certification

In order to enhance or further develop certificate holder’s competence in engineering management, candidates who have acquired the EMCP™ or EMCF™ credential must re-certify or retake the EMCIcertification examinations after three years starting from the date of the certification.

To qualify for re-certification, an EMCP™ candidate must fulfill the 45 Professional Development Units (PDUs) within the 3-year period. PDUs can be accumulated by college level teaching, attending or speaking at conferences or seminars, publishing articles or books.  Please note that 15 of the 45 PDUS must be obtained by direct training through an EMCI Authorized Knowledge Provider.

Individuals holding the EMCF designation are encouraged to apply for EMCP examination before the end of the three year period; however, in order to maintain the credential, they must also acquire 45 PDUs as needed for the re-certification.
